Overview

Per information on the FAQ page of the Cass County, MN website as shown here, Cass County has not adopted the MN State Building Codes. 

The Land Use Ordinance for Cass County, MN does require a land use permit to be issued by the County's Environmental Services Department as described in § 501 of this ordinance. Additionally, §1126 (Structures-Placement, Design, and Height) has specific requirements regarding the placement of stairways, lifts, and landings as described in § 1126.6.
